South Walton High School is home to many accomplished young artists on the Emerald Coast. Many of these Art students choose to develop individual works to submit to the College Board for the AP Studio Art Portfolio 2018 assessments in AP 2D, AP Drawing, and AP 3D. A selection from this stellar group of SWHS AP Art students will be exhibited at the South Walton Branch of the Coastal Library.
Included in this exhibition are Sofia Papagni, Lawson Lawrence, and My Huyen Truong - seniors, who submitted Drawing AP Portfolios. Frida Licona, Lexi Hall - juniors, Hector Morel-Rosa - senior, Jennings Seton - sophomore, and Xavier Epplin, Gabe Matthews, and Summer Edwards - freshman, submitted AP 2D Photography based portfolios. Kate Dargavell, Mary T. Pickers - sophomores, and Kayla Rodriguez - junior, submitted AP 2D AP Portfolios. Kyzer Schilling submitted the AP 2D Innovations with photography work. The 3D AP Portfolio was submitted by Hunter Wilson, Lexie Durick, and Lillian Bruce, seniors, and Quinn Yandell, sophomore. These students are representative of the fine young artists attending SWHS and working with Dr. Vivian Moreira Komando. SWHS had a 100% pass rate on their AP Studio Art Portfolios 2018 for the 23 student who submitted portfolios to the College Board.
