Elementary students at Paxton School spent Halloween in Egypt. The high school Humanities class created an Egyptian Exhibit that allowed elementary students to meet archeologists who showed them an archeological dig site and taught them about hieroglyphics. The archeologists (tour guides) then led the elementary students through the Temple of Horus, into a pyramid, past a pharaoh’s throne, by the Great Sphinx, and allowed them to peek into King Tutankhamun’s sarcophagus. Those on the tour were able to leave questions for the Humanities students to answer. Submitted by Kalli McMillan.

Paxton School was presented with a generous contribution from Ms. Rita Forbes on behalf of the Dugas Family Foundation to promote the “love of reading”. This contribution will provide Paxton elementary students the opportunity to celebrate literacy week. On behalf of our faculty, staff, and students, Paxton says, “Thank you”!
