* Band Boosters Spaghetti Dinner at 5:00 p.m. in the WHS cafeteria.
$5.00 per dinner, children 2 years old & younger eat free

FES Announces TOY and ESPOY!

Freeport Elementary proudly presents our teacher of the year, Mr. Benjamin Watson and our educational support professional of the year, Mr. Jeffrey Powell. These men are an incredible addition to our Freeport family. They go above and beyond to serve our students and are amazing team members.

Please join me in congratulating Julie Perk as our Teacher of the Year and Dawn Rader who is our Education Support Person of the Year!
Mrs. Perk has taught 11 years in public schools and 8 years of lead teacher in full day preschool makes 19 years in preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and second grade - primary education is her passion! She currently serves as our first grade lead teacher, chairperson of the Literacy Committee, and captain of the Lego League.
 
Ms. Dawn Rader has served as an instructional aide at Bay Elementary and now Dune Lakes Elementary for a total of 21 years! She knows Tyner Phonics like a PRO! Her heart shines in all that she does and always with a smile.  

Emerald Coast Middle School is proud to announce their Teacher of the Year, Ms. Jeannine Abadie and their Educational Support Professional, Mr. Ken Lawson. Congratulations and thank you for all you do for ECMS!

ECMS TOY and ESPOY

Sandpiper Singers from Dune Lakes Elementary performed “Shiver and Shake,” “Red Bird,” “Santa What a Guy,” and “Oh Come All Ye Faithful.” The compilation was written and arranged by Teresa Jennings at the event, “Christmas at the Beach” in Gulf Place on Saturday, December 7.  Sandpiper Singers also combined with the Van R. Butler Orff Ensemble to perform “Christmas Time is Here,” “Jingle Bells,” “Silent Night,” and “Felíz Navidad!”

Every month, Mr. A. Russell Hughes, Walton County, Florida Superintendent of Schools, will share a video message with an update on the exciting things happening in the Walton County School District, Walton County, Florida. Check back often to stay informed on all the activities, events and accomplishments of teachers and students in the Walton County School District.

This month's video was filmed in the historic Walton County Heritage Museum in the former Louisville & Nashville Railroad Depot in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Superintendent A. Russell Hughes shares important upcoming dates, and a brief overview of some exciting new projects and collaborations in the district. Special guest for this month is Mrs. Donna Simmons, our newly appointed principal at Freeport High School!
