AVID students at Freeport Middle School learned about the importance of bees on the environment, how bees create honey, and life in a bee hive.  Melissa Register, from Register Family Bee Farm, was the guest speaker for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade AVID classes.  She brought protective gear, honey, candles, close up photos, and an actual live bee hive to the students.  AVID students are always preparing for their careers in one way or another.  Submitted by Kendra Peloquin.
