Walton Middle School Principal Jason Campbell and Assistant Principal Scott Hulion honored three outstanding eighth grade students for their exemplary work in middle school—all A’s all three years. Students Noel Dahl, Billie Hall, and McCaid Paul were treated to lunch during the school day at a restaurant of their choice. The students chose Bogey’s, taking full advantage of their delicious menu. WMS will surely miss these three hardworking students and wishes them the best in all their future endeavors. After studying heat transfer, conduction, convection, and radiation, Ms. Lisa Johnson's and Ms. Pam Rushing's sixth grade science students built and tested solar ovens. Students used pizza boxes, plastic wrap, and aluminum foil to construct ovens that use the sun's radiation to cook s'mores. The s'mores were cooked to perfection and students enjoyed seeing heat transfer in action. Submitted by Kristen Nelson.

MHS was happy to welcome back former students who are graduating from WHS this year. Students lined the halls as the returning seniors walked through the school. We were so excited these students wanted to come "home" and show us what they have accomplished.
