Kennedy, attorney at Law, spoke this week via teleconference to Paxton High School's third year aerospace students about constitutional law and its impact on the future of unmanned aerial systems, or drones. Mrs. Becking's and Mrs. Booth's second graders get a "taste" of fractions!
Students in Mrs. Becking's and Mrs. Booth's classes work on understanding fractions by becoming chefs and creating baked goods. Students then calculated what fraction of their play-dough pizzas, cakes, and brownies they "ate."

During the March 27, 2018 Walton County School Board Meeting, School Board Member Kim Kirby and Superintendent Russell Hughes presented certificates to several Walton County teachers for being recognized by the Commissioner of Education, Pam Stewart, as some of the highest impact teachers in the state of Florida.

Nonie’s Ark Animal Encounters visited Mrs. Jessica Dawkins’ 2nd grade classroom at WDE on Tuesday. Mrs. Dawkins’ class earned this reward for collecting the most Box Tops in the school for grades K-2. Students enjoyed a one hour presentation of seven different animals.
