WMS applauds its sixth grade Tropicana winners for their outstanding speeches.  Pictured here are the school competition winners with their English Language Arts teachers.  (L to R:  Ms. Alex Rhodes, Mrs. Emily Kent, 3rd place Aaron Wilmoth, 1st place Mason Nowling, 2nd place Kadin McNaughton, Mrs. Rachel Jones).  The WMS school competition was held November 15th in the WMS cafeteria, with a total of twenty-two sixth grade participants.  Mason Nowling (1st place) and Kadin McNaughton (2nd place) will now represent WMS at the district level competition.  We congratulate these students for their excellent performances and offer best wishes to them as they advance to the next level. Emerald Coast Middle School held a Spirit Night Event at the South Walton-Miramar Beach Chick-fil-A on Tuesday, December 5. The Chick-fil-A Cow made an appearance early Tuesday morning at the school to cheer the Stingrays on and support the event. Thank you Chick-fil-A!

Butler Elementary School held its Tropicana Speech Contest on Friday, December 1. The winners for fourth grade were Lauren McMurphy (1st place), Alexander Koehler (2nd place), and Jacob Colletta (3rd place). Lauren and Alexander will be competing in the district contest on December 14th. Congratulations! Submitted by Sherrie Binkowski.

Superintendent Hughes stopped by Mrs. Kennett's biology class at SWHS and took a selfie with students as they were learning about Photosynthetic Tissue.  

Mr. Hughes stated that "during the review, students didn't miss a single question! Wow! EPIC at its Best!"

The ACE Club (Acknowledging Children’s Efforts) members are second graders dedicated to helping others.  Recently, they put on gloves, rolled up their sleeves, and got busy cleaning up the school grounds at Maude Saunders !
