Donuts with Dads at WDE

November 17, 2016

Bring Your Dad to School/Donuts with Dad was a huge success at WDE on Tuesday, November 15th.  Students and dads  enjoyed donuts in the classroom while completing academic activities together.  Several stand in dads were on hand from Southwide Baptist Church and affiliates of By the Sea Resorts.  Donuts were provided for all students and dads, courtesy of a very generous donor. WMS Salutes Veterans

November 17, 2016

On Thursday, November 10th, Walton Middle School held its 44th annual Veterans Day program.  Over 130 veterans and their families attended.  Students made local vets and their families feel welcome and appreciated from the beginning of the ceremony to the end.  Students held doors, performed, saluted, and hosted a reception for guests.  WMS can't thank our veterans enough for their service to our country. Submitted by Kristen Rhodes.

Freeport Middle School art and band students attended a special "Music in Pictures" presentation sponsored by the Rosemary Beach Foundation.  Two violinists presented music and art history to the students.  The Foundation brings music to the art students of Walton County, culminating in an art show and celebration of art and music in the Spring.
