In 2009, Freeport Middle School began the "Tabs for Tolerance" campaign to promote tolerance. The goal was to collect six million tabs; one for each person killed by the Holocaust. Fast forward seven years... Last week, FMS turned in 5.7 MILLION tabs (over 3100 pounds of aluminum) to the local recycling establishment. In return, they collected $937.80 to be donated to The Ronald McDonald House! The Freeport Middle School staff and students want to thank the community for their support during their campaign to promote tolerance.
