The Walton County School District ranks #3 in the State of Florida AGAIN for the 22-23 school year according to the FLDOE state testing results, closing the gap to #2 by 35 points! Under the leadership and vision of Superintendent A. Russell Hughes, the Walton County School District has risen from a ranking in the 30's to consistently being ranked among the top three school districts in the state and steadily gaining ground to become the #1 district in the state.
Some quick facts:
โข 2nd in tenth grade ELA, Biology, Algebra I, Geometry, and U.S. History
โข 3rd in third and fifth grade Math
โข 3rd fifth and eighth grade Science
โข 5th or higher in 13 of 21 tested areas
โข Increased rankings in all Math, Science, and Social Studies tested areas
โข Only 19 points from #2
